Sequel Naturals wins spot on the PROFIT 100 for a second year

AWARD DEMONSTRATES HEALTH REMAINS A TOP PRIORITY EVEN DURING RECESSION

Port Coquitlam, B.C. - Sequel Naturals, maker of popular Vega whole food health products, shows that health and business growth go hand-in-hand. For the second year in a row, the Port Coquitlam-based company has made PROFIT Magazine's 21st annual ranking of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies. Sequel Naturals placed #44 on this year's list moving from #8 last year, and overall ranked fifth among BC-based companies.

The ranking, based on the company's impressive 1691% growth over five years, is reflective of Sequel's commitment to natural health and healthy business growth. "With prevention rather than treatment in the media spotlight lately, nutrition is one of the most effective methods to ward off disease," explains Sequel's President, Charles Chang. "Despite the recession, consumers are choosing nutritious products as a means to optimal health. Our products were created to answer the needs of health-conscious consumers while providing convenience."

Sequel is also setting an example by spreading the word about optimal health.  Partnering with Vega spokesperson and formulator, Brendan Brazier, a program has been developed to communicate the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet. Thrive in 30, a free online wellness program includes text and video segments, and covers health topics ranging from alkalinity to fitness. www.thrivein30.com
